Community Service Program

“This, rather, is the fasting that I wish: releasing those bound unjustly, untying the thongs of the yoke; Setting free the oppressed, breaking every yoke; Sharing your bread with the hungry, sheltering the oppressed and the homeless; Clothing the naked when you see them, and not turning your back on your own.”

Each semester Abbey students volunteer at a number of agencies throughout Gaston and Mecklenburg Counties . Students serve at homeless shelters, schools, domestic violence centers, animal shelters, crisis pregnancy programs, and many more. Last semester alone Abbey students volunteered a total of 5,237 hours!
