Fomer Abbey Athletic Director And Basketball Coach Wins World Championship With Boston Celtics

Former Belmont Abbey College Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach, and current Boston Celtics assistant coach Kevin Eastman earned the title of World Champion after the Celtics won its first Larry O'Brien Trophy in 22 years with a four-games-to-two series win over the Los Angeles Lakers. It was the Celtics' 17th NBA title.

Eastman served as the Abbey's Director of Athletics and Head Men's Basketball coach from 1986-1989.
