Adult Degree Program Overview
The Adult Degree Program (ADP) at Belmont Abbey College is designed for adults, who, because of family and work responsibilities, need to attend college in a manner other than a traditional day school program. Adult students, age 23 and older, seeking a baccalaureate degree can choose between weeknight or weekend course offerings to reach their goal.
The proximity of Belmont Abbey College to your home or office makes it the right choice for many adults. The College campus is conveniently accessible form Interstate 85 at Exit 26. Situated on 650 acres, the facilities, resources and equipment of the College are available to every adult student.
Adult students choose the Abbey for a variety of reasons, some of which are to begin or complete a four-year degree, to earn a degree for career advancement or as a prerequisite to changing careers, or to pursue personal interests. Programs
Like most adults, you have many demands on your time. Belmont Abbey College understands your busy lifestyle and offers flexible scheduling options. Classes are held in the evenings and weekends and you choose the schedule that works for you. In addition to enjoying the flexibility of choosing when to attend class, you will also benefit by being able to complete our uniquely designed undergraduate adult degree program in just four years. By attending back-to-back eight-week evening sessions*, with two classes per session, you will be considered a full-time student, which makes you eligible for federally sponsored financial aid. This is a distinctive benefit of our program when compared to similar programs at other institutions.
* Elementary education major classes meet in a 16-week format with both evening and weekend classes.
