Freshman applicants Request that your high school transcript or GED
information be sent to the Adult Admissions Office at Belmont Abbey College.
Transfer applicants Request that all colleges and universities, where
you have registered for courses, send an official transcript to the Office of
Adult Admissions. A separate transcript must be sent from each college. Transfer
students who have completed less than 24 transferable semester hours at the time
of application will also be required to meet the freshman conditions listed above.
Former students/readmissions Any student who was not enrolled at Belmont
Abbey College for the previous fall or spring semester must apply for readmission.
Students who have attended another college or university since previous enrollment
at Belmont Abbey must provide official transcripts of this work before readmission
status can be determined.
Nondegree students Non-degree students are those who wish to take courses
for personal enrichment or advancement rather than to earn a degree at Belmont
Abbey. Non-degree students are not admitted to any degree program, are not eligible
for financial assistance, and are not assigned to advisors. In most instances,
official transcripts may be waived.
Teacher Certification students Teacher certification students are those
who have earned a previous four-year degree and are returning as non-degree students
to complete those requirements necessary for teacher certification. As non-degree
students, they are not admitted to any degree program, may not be eligible for
financial assistance, and are not assigned to an advisor.
Transient students Transient students are visitors who attend Belmont
Abbey College for only one semester. They are planning to take work which will
be used for a degree or program at another institution. Transient students must
reapply for each semester in which they wish to register for courses at Belmont
Abbey College and submit an updated transient approval from their home college
indicating current good standing. Transient students are not eligible for financial
assistance and are not assigned to advisors.
