Federal Financial Aid Programs

  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal SEOG-Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
  • Federal College Work Study (campus employment)
  • Federal Perkins Loan (amounts vary, repayment begins 9 months after you leave college)
  • William D. Ford Direct Stafford Loan Program.  Interest rate is variable and adjusted each year.  Repayment begins six months after you leave college.  A subsidized loan is awarded based on financial need.  The government pays the interest while you are enrolled and during your grace period.  An unsubsidized loan means that you are responsible for interest payments.
  • Federal Direct Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS Loans).  Loan funds are available to credit worthy parents of dependent students.  These loans are not based upon financial need and parents may borrow up to the cost of attendance minus financial aid annually for each dependent student enrolled in an undergraduate program.  The interest rate is variable and repayment for the PLUS loans generally begins sixty days after disbursement of the loan.

Deadline:  We encourage you to apply for financial aid by the priority deadline of February 1.
